1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the HorseMetric mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

HorseMetric is an equestrian training management application that provides AI-generated training plans, session tracking, and progress analytics for horse riders. The App uses artificial intelligence to create personalized training programs based on information you provide about your horses and riding goals.

3. Account Registration

To use the App, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

HorseMetric offers a free tier with limited features and a premium subscription ("Pro") that unlocks full access to AI training plans and all features.

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Payment: Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing is managed by the respective platform.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the App, including horse profiles, training logs, and notes ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your User Content solely to provide and improve our services, including sending data to AI services for training plan generation.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription requirements
  • Share, resell, or redistribute your account access

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Training plans generated by the App are created using artificial intelligence and are intended as general guidance only. They do not constitute professional veterinary or equestrian advice. You should always use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals when making decisions about your horse's health, fitness, and training. HorseMetric is not liable for any injury or harm resulting from following AI-generated training recommendations.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by HorseMetric and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HorseMetric shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated training plans.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings screen. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
